Since 2020 I have been Unemployed. I have working at different mines in my career including: 1. Namdeb 2. Langer Heinrich 3. Skorpion Zinc 4. Rossing Uranium 5. Swakop Uranium The only thing all these Mines had in common, was that they Mined.
Operations differed, Procedures and Policies differed and this started to make sense. With gaining so much experience and learning different business structures and what made the one Mine different from the other and their operations, I thought to myself, what have I learned as a child which I enjoyed doing. I love cars and this inspired met to start taking action and risks. As I have two children I need to support, I started unregistered Ventures. Had a little cash saved up and with the help of my Fiancé started different ventures. Some of these ventures are still up and running and progress is slow, but it is growing and people are aware of the services I provide.
MTC Fibre Cable Contract 29 November 2022, I was given a Sub-Contract Fibre Work for MTC. This entailed digging trenches 5metre deep, inserting the MTC Fibre Cable into PVC covering Pipe and burying it underground for a distance of 5.5km from outside Oranjemund to Op-My-Stoep Guesthouse. From Op-My-Stoep to Shepherds Lodge there were 17 wooden poles measuring a distance of 1.05km, which the MTC Fibre cable needed to be placed on wooden poles using rollers and dead ends. This work ended quickly and we were done by 13 December 2022. I had employed 17 local young men as Casuals during the duration of the contract
Telecom Fibre Cable 12-20 December 2022, I was assigned by the same Contractor to complete and install Telecom Fibre cable to a few of Namdeb Buildings including:
1. Training and Development
2. IT Department 3. Allied Services
4. Namdeb Hospital This was another learning curve for us as We enjoy challenges, worked productively, safely and effectively and We always get the job done before cut-off dates
Renovations (Personal) 8-10 February 2023 we renovated my lounge in a period of two days. Preparing walls for paint, filling holes and sanding them, Blinds installation and final touches in my new Entertainment room.
