After the closing down of Black-PERR Investments in 2021, which was a printing business in Oranjemund. My colleague and I were left unemployed for several months, we then identified a gap in the market of Oranjemund for photography, printing, marketing and administrative services. Maria Engelbrecht and myself, Rae-anne Francis, teamed up to register Pixmium Island Enterprises CC, with the aim of providing these services to the community of Oranjemund.
We acquired the OMDis Container as business premises from winning the Pitch For A Place Competition in May 2022. We kicked off with our business and since then we have been able to employ 2 other youths and expand our services to distributing arts and crafts as well as having our business premises as the prime spot for the sales of local products from local SMEs.
In our short time being in business we have built solid customer relationships and we intend to branch out to a bigger premises to be able to provide our services at a larger capacity. Employment is in our own hands and if we can grow as entrepreneurs so can our town.
