Safety is of high importance to KARAS MAINTENANCE AND OIL PURIFICATION CC and proper risk assessment & risk mitigation management of activities within the business is conducted respective to each operation.
The safety of the people is imperative, ensuring that all PPE is available and being used correctly. Safety briefings are conducted on a regular basis and employees are being sent out for safety trainings. We currently maintain two safety files (Namdeb and VIVO Energy Namibia) and uphold our safety regulations and procedures to their standards as evidenced by our being CC2 compliant (Namdeb) and green banded (VIVO Energy).
In addition, we regularly send our employees for ISO Environmental Safety Training conducted by Namdeb and are in the process of receiving Namdeb Environmental CC3 accreditation (Environmental Safety Training Compliance to Namdeb Standards) Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our employees and yours is of vital importance to us, which is why we go the extra mile to ensure that our employees always have their safety wear on.
With hazards such as bricks falling from great heights and poisonous fumes always present, the construction environment poses constant potential health threats. To reduce the chances of occupational injury, we provide safety wear to all our employees and ensure that, through our site managers, safety specifications are observed and always met.
